Questions you might have.
What can I monitor on a competitor’s Google Business Profile?
Track categories, services, published business hours, posts, and review activity. Compare successive checks to see what changed, then look at your own profile to decide whether a difference is relevant to your business.
How does a competitor change become an action?
Your workflow checks the change against your business context and the conditions you set. For example, a newly added competitor service can be compared with your onboarding document and your existing profile. If you offer that service and it is missing from your profile, an authorized workflow can add it. Uncertain matches can be sent to you for review.
Can I review changes before they are applied?
Yes. Choose review before updates, or allow automatic updates when your approved conditions match. A competitor adding something does not, by itself, authorize the same change to your profile.
Can I choose the schedule and create my own workflow?
Start with a ready-made workflow or describe your own. Choose when the check runs, which changes matter, what business documents to use, and whether a matching change should be applied automatically or sent for review.
What does the review comparison tell me?
Compare the number and pace of new reviews over the same period, then explore the topics customers mention. Use those differences to review the customer experience and improve the consistency of honest review invitations across the services you provide.
Are recent review mentions the same as Google Maps topics?
They are separate signals. Recent mentions come from the reviews in the selected period. Maps topics reflect the topics displayed on the latest profile snapshot and may draw on older reviews too. A topic not appearing on your profile does not mean customers never mention it, and improving a review strategy does not guarantee a particular Maps topic or ranking.
