How do you find AI requests?
We use the request analytics available through your connected Cloudflare account to identify recognized AI agents and group their activity by page, provider, purpose, and time. These requests can be visible even when an agent never runs your website’s analytics tag.
Does this replace Google Analytics?
They answer different questions. GA4 helps you understand people visiting your website. AI Traffic Analysis shows recognized AI agents requesting your pages. If someone clicks an AI source link and visits your site, GA4 can record that visit; referrer information or UTM parameters may help identify the source.
Can I see activity when nobody clicks through?
Yes—when a recognized AI agent requests a page from your connected site, that request can appear without a human visit. It does not tell you whether a particular person clicked or what answer they received. Answers using cached content may create no new request to your website.
Can I see someone’s prompt or know if my page was cited?
No. Request data shows which pages an agent requested, not someone’s private question or the final answer. A request does not prove your content was used or cited. Page patterns can help you identify topics and content worth reviewing.
Are training crawls included?
The All requests view includes the recognized request purposes available in your data. Select On-demand to focus on fetches associated with user interactions, or view search and training crawls separately.
Which websites can I connect?
Cloudflare is supported now. Your site can be built with Next.js, WordPress, or another platform, as long as its traffic passes through Cloudflare and the required request analytics are available. A dedicated WordPress connection is coming soon.
Is every AI request captured?
Coverage depends on requests reaching your connected website, the agents we can recognize, and the data available in your Cloudflare account. Counts may be estimated from sampled traffic, and available history varies. AI interactions that do not make a new request to your website are not visible here.
